Whale-watching Cruises and Seaside Vacations
The Vacancier Motel is located in Baie-Sainte-Catherine, a small village at the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord, not far from Tadoussac. Baie-Sainte-Catherine is a source of wonderment and adventure, as well as being the verdant doorway to the Charlevoix region and the departure point for whale-watching cruises. The Vacancier Motel combines the comfort of a hotel with the come-and-go style of active holiday-goers. We are the only motel in the region directly on the banks of the St. Lawrence and near a quiet beach of golden sand. The Vacancier Motel is an oasis of peace and quiet in a gorgeous setting.

The motel is located at the crossroads of the Charlevoix, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and North Shore regions. It is 2½ hours from Quebec City, 1¼ hours from the Casino de Charlevoix and only 15 minutes from Tadoussac — the time it takes for the ferry to take you across the Fjord (the ferry is free, by the way!). Tadoussac has so much to offer, such as beautiful natural sites, golfing, a bustling community and many recreational activities. You can also travel up the Saguenay Fjord to admire absolutely stunning scenery and some of the most picturesque villages in Quebec.
